We Survived the Schengen Visa Bureaucracy. Then We Automated It.

"We are Somruthai and István. We are NOT a visa agency. We are an EU-Thai couple who knows exactly how terrifying it is to put your entire relationship in the hands of a skeptical consular officer."

Saying Goodbye

The Long-Distance Struggle

István is from Hungary. By day, he serves as a Marketing Director for a major US-based company and operates as a full-stack developer. Somruthai lives in Thailand. Our story started on the BTS in Bangkok. After spending our first two months together in Bangkok and Phuket, István had to return to Europe. We faced the brutal reality of long-distance dating, relying on video calls and counting the days until our next meeting.

When the time came to build SabAI, István combined his decade of enterprise software experience with our firsthand knowledge of the visa system to engineer a platform that actually works.

When István traveled back to Thailand in October, we spent another two months in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Somruthai introduced István to her children, and our family bond solidified. We knew we had to close the distance.

The Bureaucratic Nightmare

When we decided to apply for a Schengen visa so Somruthai could visit Hungary, we slammed into a wall of bureaucracy. We faced the exact same nightmare you are facing right now:

  • Endless, contradictory paperwork.
  • Unclear, confusing information from official embassies.
  • Expensive agencies that offered zero guarantees.
  • The agonizing panic that a single missing document would result in a rejection stamp.

We thought about giving up. The system felt designed to keep us apart.

Doing It The Hard Way

Instead of quitting, we treated the visa process like a second job. We read every forum, mapped out every consular requirement, and wrote our own legal letters from scratch. We handled everything ourselves—no expensive consultants, just relentless research and zero-error preparation.

It worked. After weeks of intense stress, Somruthai received her visa. We spent 60 days together in Europe and got engaged on February 14th. When she returned to Thailand, we prepared a second, highly scrutinized application for her remaining 30 days. Because our preparation was flawless, the second visa was approved immediately.

(Update: We finally closed the distance and got married in Thailand on November 12, 2025).

Why We Built SabAI

After successfully navigating the system twice, we started sharing our exact strategies. Over the past year, our guides and templates have helped hundreds of EU-Thai couples successfully secure their visas. But as we reviewed more and more applications, we realized a harsh truth: static templates are dangerous. Every relationship is different. Manual editing leaves room for formatting errors, chronological mistakes, and inconsistent dates. A single typo in a Sponsorship letter can trigger a rejection.

We knew there had to be a safer, zero-effort way.

That is why we built SabAI. We took the exact patterns, strict consular rules, and successful legal arguments from hundreds of approved applications and engineered them into SabAI. We built an automated digital concierge trained on real-world data to generate zero-error documents for you. We built the exact tool we wished we had when we were staring blankly at application forms, terrified of making a mistake.

SabAI exists to handle the heavy lifting, the legal drafting, and the visual proof—so you can focus on your partner, not the paperwork.
